(unless i'm wrong) next generation means simply that a new person takes up the position of hero, (like the way the main characters keep changing in the FF series)
so unless Darkness stepping back and is not heard from again i'm thinking you'll be rethinking the title (keep it if you want but...)

(god, it ain't hard people!, you use your mouse but the game was desinged to be used with one of those light phaser guns, the same as you get in arcades where you take the plastic gun and fire at the screen! a big hint is that it features zombies and undead monsters, it's also a sequal)
