IMPORTANT NOTICE, PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE READING STORY: in the other episodes, the story focused on sonics thoughts and feelings, this one however focuses on Darkness' ones, as this is what you chose, and DTH stands for Darkness the Hedgehog to save me time (yes i AM that lazy lol), so without further ado, here is the 5th episode

Sonic: what the hell is that?
Link: an amulet, of incredible power

they all lean forward...

Overlord: then lets bring it out to meet our little freinds, any word on Darkness?
EmerlBot: *HE WAS LAST SPOTTED ON A MOUNTAIN PEAK, 2.6 MILES FROM THIS LOCATION HEADING TOWARDS THE COMMERCIAL SECTOR*
Overlord: so his choice is made, lets see where his loyalties lie...

the overlord and the emerlbot exit the board room, into the hangar...

Darkness: this is the location where i first saw sonic, he must be nearby

DTH looks around, sonic was nowhere near, nobody was

Darkness: *thinking* this is going to be harder than i first thought, but my mind is made up, and nobody will change it

Darkness: *thinking* sonic loves chile dogs, he's almost as famous for that as he is being blue, his past is amazing, but somehow i do not know all the secrets, it all seems to end... with an amulet... well, as soon as sonic smells chile dogs, he is sure to come at lightning speed, there must be a store that sells them somewhere

that store was not far away, darkness switced on the chile dog maker, everything was made automatically in this city, including the chile dogs, a powerful smell of chile dogs was soon in the air, darkness opened the door and stepped outside onto the pavement

Darkness: not long now, huh? what the hell...?

a huge dust storm was fast approaching, something was at the bottom of it, it looked like a hedgehog

???: MY CHILE DOGS!!!!!! MINE! LEAVE THEM THEY ARE MINE!!!!!! MY CHILE DOGS!!!!!! NOBODY TOUCH THEM!!! THEY ARE MINE!!!!

Darkness: holy shit!

DTH dived to the side just in time, the hedgehog collided with the store at such velocity that the whole building collapsed, including the other buildings next to it

???: GIMME!!!

dust obscured everything from sight, however, there was a curious sound of someone eating very fast, darkness stepped onto the remains of the store

Darkness: ?
???: aah.... i love chile dogs, huh? WHO ARE YOU!?

Darkness simply stared wide eyed at the wreckage of the store, sonics face loomed from the dust

Sonic: its you!
Darkness: may i ask what the hell?
Sonic: i will have my chile dogs at whatever the cost
Darkness: you destroyed the shop!
Sonic: why are you here?
Darkness: i have made my choice
Sonic: choice? oh! well?
Darkness: i have chosen to join you and the freedom fighters, this amulet of your past... it intrigues me
Sonic: so you already know about that...
Darkness: i do, remember, i know both you and shadows past's
Sonic: well, there is something you need to see then

DTH followed sonic into the hideout of the freedom fighters

axe and max were trying to repair the sonic shaped hole in the 4 walls sonic ran through

Axe: if i wanted a new door, i would have asked you sonic!
Sonic: heh heh, sorry about that, but you know how i get about chile dogs
Axe: who's thi... YOU!

Axe suddenly flew at DTH, DTH put up his hand, and axe was deflected away from him, like there was an invisible shield there, axe crashed into the wall

Darkness: i really dont care for your greeting methods, i've joined the freedom fighters
Axe: oww.....
Amy: you have chosen the good path? but i was sure the overlord created you to join him?
Darkness: he did, but i chose my own way
Axe: how can we be sure of that?
Darkness: because the overlord would already be here if i was with him, he's been looking for this place for ages
Emi: thanks to the cloaking system i've installed, it'll keep confusing him
Darkness: dont be so sure, he's getting closer
link: so, you understand it all sonic?
Sonic: what, darkness? or the amulet?
Link: the amulet you freaking dumshit
Sonic: yes
Darkness: amulet?

an age old prophecy and a saying used countless times, deep in sonics past, came to light in DTH's head

Darkness: *thinking* the servers are the seven chaos...chaos is power...power enriched by the heart...the controller is the one that unifies the chaos... |+| the land shall tremble and the skies shall weep, for he who is the destroyer shall destroy,for he who is alone shall fall and darkness will cover the land... wait a minute, thats the prophecy from the dark times! the Age of Chaos! the the second chapter, the death of the world, what was the first? that shows how the world is saved...

Sonic: yes, the legendary Amulet of Hope, Link found it in the Dark Sector
Darkness: what are the different sectors?
Tails: there are four sectors, the city is square in shape, each sector is a quarter of the city, the different sectors from the north west, to the south west are the Dark Sector, Commercial Sector, Industrial Sector and the Residential Sector., we are in the Residential Sector, we first saw you in the Commercial Sector
Darkness: *looking around* where's shadow? i need to ask him something
Emi: he's in the dorms
Darkness: can i go see him?
Emi: sure, if he's not sleeping
Darkness: thank you

DTH walks out

IMPORTANT NOTICE: the story will now revert back to sonics thoughts and feelings

Sonic: whats he got to ask shadow?
Tails: it must be something about shadows past, he might do the same with you sonic
Sonic: he sort of did when i found him at the chile store
Axe: i still dont trust him
Max: oh please, you only dislike him because he can destroy you easily
Axe: OH SHUT UP!!!

everybody was trying hard to conceal a smile

Emi: *trying very hard to keep her voive level* you really should be friends with him Axe, he could be a great help to our ... HOLY HELL!
Sonic: *all humour gone* what is it!?
Emi: it's amy! she's went outside for some reason and now is under attack by two ID robots!
Sonic: but she already had an ID doesn't she?
Emi: yeah, but she's out after curfew! she's gonna be arrested!
Sonic: WHY DOES SHE KEEP DOING THIS TO ME!!!!!!!!!
Tails: sonic! you have to stay here! you dont have an ID!
Sonic: you cant make me stay here tails! i have to save amy again!
Emi: she's trapped in an alleyway, both bots are trying to grab her!

Sonic knew he had to save amy, he had new feelings about her, it started when he looked after her in the ward, he thought it was a friendship feeling he was having, but it's something more than that, he doesn't know what right now, all he knows that he has to rescue her once again

Sonic: Tails! you have to let me save her!
Tails: sonic...

now amy is under attack again, sonic has to save her, but tails knows how dangerous it is, so what will he do?

Knuckles: good! now that thats settled, link found something like an amulet in the Dark Sector of the city, we should head out to his outpost and see what we can make of it
Tails: the sooner me and max can analyse it, the better
Sonic: *sigh*
Max: lets go before we depress sonic more
Sonic: oh that was so funny i forgot to laugh
Sharp: whatever, lets go

they left sonic standing there, with a heavy feeling of abandonment, after a quick glance at amy, he went to the window, she was still and peaceful, breathing slowly and deeply. If a starnger saw her now, they would never guess how hyper she is when she is awake.
The window didn't offer much of a view, a derelict city sprawled out before sonic, it's unnaturally silent, like it was usually very busy but that was suddenly taken away, sonic could see the street where he met the overlord, it was still half destroyed, he could see one of the massive holes in the wall where his body slammed against it, shadow's hole was on the other side, shadow had attacked him, wanting his life, even though he helped defeat the metal overlord in their last meeting, shadow was in the dorm rooms above, he said he would join the freedom fighters to get revenge on his old master, he truly was loyal about it, how long that loyalty would last however, was a different matter.

sonic thought again about the metal overlord, how metal sonic used robotnicks creations to transform himself into a powerful monster, but all the metal in the world would not help if he didn't understand love and teamwork, this new overlord however, this overlord is able to create life, something sonic had never seen before

Sonic: heh, this overlord would give the metal overlord a run for his money
Amy: what?

the peaceful reminiscence was shattered in an instant, sonics heart skipped a few beats, no way was she awake, she was so still and peaceful moments ago, or how long was he remembering the past?
sonic span round, amy was in a sitting position with a quizzical look on her face

Sonic: *thinking" dammit, fuck, holy shit crap what the hell do i do!?
Sonic: uhh, nothing.... you feeling better then?
Amy: i think so... what happened back there? all i remember is seeing shadow, but he looked blue, a bright light, then you talking about the metal overlord
Sonic:that wasn't shadow that attacked you
Amy: i guessed that much, i heard him earlier, i became concious when i was dropped on this bed, but i was too tired to life my eyes, last i remember hearing was tails saying "where the hell is sonic? he needs to look after amy", so who was the hedgehog that attacked me?
Sonic: he calls himself Darkness the hedgehog
Amy: darkness? i heard rumours... hold on!

and despite having rather nasty injuries she leaps out of her bed, and runs off

Sonic: ?

she cam back moments later with a heavy book

Amy: i borrowed this from link
Sonic: borrow? or take?
Amy: the latter, does it really matter right now?
Sonic: not really no....

Amy was already flicking through the pages, then with an "Aha!" finds the right page, and gives the book to sonic to read, the extract read:

"Darkness the hedgehog [referred to as DTH hereafter] is the legendary warrior, possessing great power beyond that of any creation of life or machine, this power is locked by 4 cuffs,these cuffs are magically sealed, and need a special power other than chaos power to unlock, once unlocked DTH would have enough power to become a living doomsday weapon, however, there is one drawback to this ultimate warrior, is that it must be created from the strongest force of light and dark hedgehogs available on the planet, in this planets case, Sonic the hedgehog, and Shadow the Hedgehog, the power of love and teamwork from sonic would make DTH wonder whether or not to choose the light, or dark path in life, choosing one will make DTH sworn enemies of all those in the opposite genre, many factors li....." [the rest is missing]

Amy: see? this darkness was created to choose the dark path! we have to warn the others!
Sonic: how can we? they went out to see link at his outpost
Amy: well we will have to wait for them to come back then wont we?

and so they waited, they started talking about nonsense stuff and ended up having a few laughs together

Sonic: *thinking* maybe i was wrong all these years? she is a good friend, i actually do enjoy her company

they learned lots about each other, but sooner or later all good things end, and this happy chat was no exception, Amy needed the toilet, and while she was gone someone Sonic did not know came in

???: sonic, link needs you in his study, ASAP
Sonic: i'm, waiting for amy to return first, who the hell are you anyway?
???: Axe, Axe the hedgehog, amy can wait, link needs you now!
Amy: ok, i'm back!, oh? hi axe!
Axe: hi, look, amy can come if she wants, but you are needed in links study now!!
Sonic: fine....

they went to link's study, it was full of books, amy brought the one she "borrowed" with her, everyone was there, even shadow
Link: oh my god oh my god where is the blasted thing?
Amy: this?
amy gives back the book
Link: HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO TAKE MY BOOKS WITHOUT ASKING!!!??
Amy: geez, sorry, but i needed to check something
Link: well next time ASK! ok?
Amy: fine, now what is it?
Link: look at this...

Overlord: that creation of mine was made with half good energy, that must be the cause, that hedgehog has the power of love and teamwork, that power ruined me before, it will NOT happen again! it is time, time to put stage 2 in effect, GO! we must prepare...

Darkness is still sitting on the mountain top, he stands
Darkness: the moment has arrived, i shall show my true colours, and destroy all who oppose my decision, they shall face my wrath

a grate popped open, wasting no time for question marks to appear Sonic pushed the unconscious Link through, then followed, and not a moment too soon, the ID Robot clattered by still looking for him...

???: the intruder must be Sonic the Hedgehog, did the ID Robot catch him?
EmrelBot: *NEGATIVE*
???: of course not, he is sonic, he always escapes trouble like that, well, if you incompetent fools cannot capture that elusive hog, I will. No more shall that hedgehog ruin me...

Sonic couldn't really believe his eyes, they were not in a sewer or some dingy place as he though, but a very well organised headquarters Sonic could do was just stand there with his jaw dropped, sooo many of his old friends were there, Tails, Knuckles, Sally, Vector, Espio, and many more, and plenty of new faces as well, around 30-40 people were there, all staring silently at Sonic

about a minute passed

Tails: Sonic? is that you?
Sonic: after all this time apart, that is the best you can say?
Tails: I TOLD YOU! i TOLD you he would come!!
Knuckles: so he appeared here despite all odds, we still have an overlord to overthrow
???: you always spoil the happiest moments echidna!
Knuckles: and whats it to you Emi?
Emi: the hero of so many victories has actually arrived and all you can do is shrug your shoulders!
Knuckles: *shrugging his shoulders* meh...
Emi: *exasperated sigh* men...
Sonic: umm... hi? i still dont know what the hell is going on and dont even know half of you yet!

Knuckles went towards the door on the far wall

Knuckles: well...welcome to Goldbell sonic, i suppose we DO need your help on this one... *leaves*
Tails: sorry about that, he gets kinda upset when he has to rely on you for help, maybe thats why he regards you as his rival so much? anyway, a short intro, you know sally, vector and espio right?
Sonic: from our last adventure against transformed metal sonic, who could forget?
Vector: Sonic heroes broke up then?
Sonic: heh, we never will for as long as there is an evil in the world, Robuttnick pay you yet?
Vector: nah... the slimeball vanished after we lost him in the power plant
Espio: he was lucky, my ninjitsu would have destroyed him
Tails: well, this is Emi, she helps with scouting and survailence
Emi: i picked up an intruder coming through the city boundaries, that was you i take it?
Sonic: i think so

Emi was similar to sally in some ways, she had shorter hair that fell around her shoulders, maroon fur with a white muzzle, blue eyes and she wore some sort of army jacket over jeans

Tails: this is Max, he works with me in the technical side of things, he's good with tools
Max: howdy?

Max wore a denim jacket alone, and a black hat that looked like one of those cowboy hats, he had that texas accent, his fur was orangey, he was a hedgehog, but his quills were more like an echidna

Tails: this here is Sharp, he is the tactician, he decides what routes to take and what goes where etc, he's kinda like the general, he also owns at chess

Sharp: *nods head to Sonic* hello

Sharp looked like his name, he wore black leather gloves, black boots and shades (despite the dark of the room) his fur was dark grey, lighter grey stomach his muzzle was skin

Tails: who next...?
Emi: Hold up! we got a 6-13! right down the road! intro's can wait! we got some serious shit here!

Knuckles suddenly appeared out of nowhere

Knuckles: someone say a 6-13? great! i was getting bored!
Tails: This isn't a joke you moron! this is real!
Sonic: what the hell is a 6-13??
Knuckles: something big coming our way, and it wants to fight!
Tails: a 6-13 is called when something worse than some robot is homing in on our position
Emi: the energy readings are astronomical! this thin has a LOT of power, you dont think it could be...?
Knuckles: LETS GO!!

Tails, Knuckles, Sonic, Vector and Espio went, Link was in safe hands

Tails: Right here!

They turned right, and met it, a being of pure shadow, black vapours that looked solidified, it was the shape of some sort of hedgehog, only evil, bright red eyes looked down evilly upon the group

Knuckles: THE OVERLORD!!!!!
Overlord: ahh, the freedom fighters, i would love to destroy you all now, but as of this moment, bigger items have cropped up...

the thing waved a black, smokey arm, everyone except sonic was blasted from sight, as though a gruesome wind blew them away

Sonic: NOOOOO!!!! What do you want!?
Overlord: Why, isn't it obvious Sonic? i require you! but i'll let this pathetic nothing attempt to prove himself

and Shadow appeared out of nowhere

Sonic: YOU!!
Shadow: yes Sonic, me; and not i shall do what i was made to do, to DESTROY YOU!

but just as Shadow used Chaos Control to punch Sonic, the Overlord froze time altogether

Overlord: now part 1 of my plan can be completed, the creation of the ultimate warrior!

the Overlord caused an explosion of huge proprtions between the two frozen hedgehogs, time reverted back to normal as they flew apart from each other, slamming into the building walls on both sides of the street, Sonic could feel hid life energy being drained, then saw to his horror that the Overlord was absorbing his and Shadow life energy into a ball of power in the middle of the street, just before Sonic blacked out, he could see the shape of a hedgehog forming inside the sphere of power, and the Overlord claimed

Overlord: Arise; Darkness! the supreme of all beings!

and then Sonic knew no more...

???: ...evy damage to both, amazing they still live after what happened
???: is Sonic alright?
???: they both are, half of their life energy was drained out, thats usually near fatal
???: how did Shadow get there? he was nowhere near us when the Overlord attacked
???: we will just have to wait until they awake, come on, it's no use staying here.

a click of a light switch and the sound of a door closing
Sonic lay still, his eyes shut, way too heavy to open, who were they? where was he? ands what the hell happened to him?
Sonic forced his eyes open, they responded by blurring everything out, he rubbed his eyes feircly and looked around

He was in what looked like a small hospital ward, there were only three beds, the one he was lying in, one empty and shadow lay in the other one, breathing slowly and deeply, quite clearly in a deep slumber, it would be useless to do what he would do and attack while he slept, besides, he had no strength left anyway, then the pain seeped in

Sonic: arrhh, my head!

Sonic sat up, there were thick bandages all over his body, he felt like a half wrapped mummy
Sonic jumped, some else was here! the room may be dark, but he recognised that Pico {ico hammer anywhere, Amy had fallen asleep beside his bed on a chair

Sonic: crap....
Amy: zzz...... huh....?

She awoke, somehow she knew he was awake, Sonic had no time to even lie down, though he tried, Amy registered the movement

Sonic: *thinking* please dont scream, PLEASE dont scream!*
Amy: *screaming* AAAAAAAAAA SONIC'S AWAKE SONIC'S AWAKE!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE COME HERE NOW!! SONICS AWAKE!!!!
Sonic: dammit....

Overlord: Darkness, you were created from the two greatest living hedgehogs this little planet has to offer, you were created by me! now, i have a task for you, which you shall complete at all costs
Darkness: yes master...

Sonic:...nd thats about it really
Emi: half of yours and Shadows' life energy was drained, what for?
Sonic: i dont know, it's all fuzzy

he tried to remember, his memory wasn't the best though
*Overlord: Arise; Darkness! the supreme of all beings!*

Sonic: i think he made a hedgehog using our life energy
Tails: WHAT!!?
Sonic: you heard me
Amy: how do you feel Sonic? need more juice?
Sonic:*thinking* maybe now i can get rid of her for awhile, she's been sponging my head for the past hour, it's winkled up due to the amount of water she's sponged on it
Sonic: umm yeah, sure

Amy dashed off

Sonic: hide me before she comes back! quick!
Knuckles: *smiling* no can do amigo, she's been worried sick about you
Sonic: she's always worried sick about me
Knuckles: heh, your not wrong there!
Tails: i'll tell Amy we need something from the store, we need to stock up on chile dogs now Sonic's here
Sonic: *smiling* you read me like a book Tails
Tails: hey! AMY!

he runs off
Link came in

Link: Sonic...
Sonic: LINK! are you all right?
Link: nothing serious, i suppose i was wrong about you, you survived against the Overlord, maybe your not as in danger as i first thought, anyway, come to my room later, there is something i need to give you
Sonic: umm... ok
Emi: well, i'm off, i need to keep survailence, it's my shift, glad your ok Sonic
Sonic: thanks

they were chatting happily for a while when Emi burt in

Emi: MILES! we have a huge problem!!
Tails: WHAT THE HELL!! I told everyone to use my nickname ONLY!! you know i HATE that name!!
Emi: Amy is under attack!
Sonic: fucking dammit! she ALWAYS does that!
Knuckles: lets go!

in the streets a hedgehog was bearing down on an unconsious Amy

Sonic: LEAVE HER ALONE!
???: by all means

he picked up Amy and threw her towards the others

???: she'll probably need healing up
Sonic: who are you!?
???: Call me Darkness the Hedgehog
Sonic: what do you want!?
Darkness: my mission is to destroy you, i was created by the Overlord, but from your body, in some sense you are my father. i am you and shadow combined, except i am based on shadows hate, rather than Sonics goodness, as Shadic is
Sonic: how do you know sha...?
Darkness: i have both of your lifes memories, but i shall respect Shadows decision and keep his past firmly under wraps, but why save the girl Sonic? you have spent most of your life running away from her
Sonic: if you are half me you would know the answer
Darkness: the need to save as many as you can? well, thats your choice, i shall let you leave for now Sonic, i am still rather unsure of which path to follow
Sonic: join us! you can help overthrow the Overlord once and for all!
Darkness: i am half evil, half good, it was foolish of my mentor to create half of me with the power of love and teamwork, but now leave Sonic, this is a decision i must make alone!
Sonic: very well, but i shall leave you with these words, no matter what path you choose, follow your heart, it shall guide you the rest of the way

Darkness bowed his head, and vanished in a puff of black smoke
Sonic: i can only hope, he follows his good heart, instead of his bad one, i wonder where Shadow is? probably still in the ward

Darkness: *thinking* i have narrowed my choices down to four, Sonic spoke wisdom, i shall follow my heart, but i have half a good heart and half of a bad heart

Sonic: is Amy alright?

they were back in the ward

Max: yeah, she's just knocked out is all, she'll be fine
Tails: umm, Sonic? someone needs to stay by her side in case something goes wrong, and we are all on duty so...
Sonic: oh no, no, shit you want ME to stay by her!?
Knuckles: hahaha! a bit poetic is it not? you have to look after the woman you dislike, the women who is madly in love with you!
Sonic: anyone wanna switch?
Knuckles: not a chance in hell
Sonic: what about someone else! there are loads of freedom fighters! SOMEONE must be off duty!
Tails: you know she would want you Sonic
Sonic: but...

well, Sonic is in a bit of a dilemma is he not? made to stay by Amy's sickbed, what shall sonic do? keep up his argument in the hope that SOMEONE out there can look after Amy, or give in and stay there to make sure nothing does happen to her (maybe that option will lead to bigger things? who knows?) there are again, two options, and 7 voting places, all vote... Sonic went to the spare room and after awhile thinking about what the city was going through, and who was causing all of this trouble, he fell asleep and thought no more, Link opened the door to see if he really was in bed, knowing Sonic he would never pass up the chance for an adventure, but he was there, snoring away. Link yawned and went to bed.

In the other half of the city, someone WAS wandering about, the figure was in the dark, so it wasn't clear who it was, the person dashed in a hole in the wall, closing the grate behind, just as the person was climbing in a street light flickered on, only a yellow tail with a white tip was visible, before it was whisked from sight

Sonic woke the next morning, new questions burning in his mind

Link was reading a newspaper, doing a crossword
Link: your up? i heard you dont wake until way late in the afternoon?
Sonic: usually, yeah, but there is a new enemy, i cant sleep for long, i need to be out there kicking ass
Link: well your not on my watch, but you do have questions, i can see it in your eyes

Sonic sat down in the other chair

Sonic: yeah, i do, first of all, why doesn't everyone just leave if their city is under attack?
Link: there is an invisible barrier surrounding the entire city
Sonic: there cant be, i walked in without feeling anything
Link: thats because you dont have an ID Number yet, everyone who has an ID Number is affected by what the Overlord creates
Sonic: the Overlord?
Link: yes, the one who took over, is known only as the Overlord
Sonic: *thinking* so this time i've gotta whip some guy called the overlord this time? ok then*
Sonic: where is this "Overlord"?
Link: no-one knows
Sonic: *thinking* typical
Sonic: what about the others i know? Tails, knuckles, amy, cream? everyone?
Link: they are all here, all given an ID Number, all relatively safe
Sonic: relatively?
Link: until the Overlord deems them as a threat
Sonic: and if they are deemed as a threat?
Link: you do not want to know

Just then Sonic felt something, like the floor shack just a tiny bit, maybe it was his imagination , since Link obviously felt nothing

Sonic: how are you given an ID number?
Link: a giant robot takes you, and magically burns it onto your arm

He pulled up his sleeve, there quite clearly burned there was #106581

Sonic: oh my god...
Link: it doesn't hurt, but ur arm goes numb for hours, then you get pin's an needles like hell, worst ever, you have no idea...

The ground shook again, slightly harder this time
Link froze

Link: SHIT! YOU NEED TO HIDE!!!!!
Sonic: what!? why?
Link: the id robot is coming! it knows your here!!!

Sonic hid behind the chair, he didn't feel like having an ID number put on him, there was a small hole where he could see he wall with the front door

Link was standing in the middle of the room, bracing himself
all of a sudden there was a colossal explosion and the whole wall was ripped from the building
the shape of a giant robot that looked vaguely familiar suddenly loomed from the dust

ID Robot: **HAND OVER THE HEDGEHOG INTRUDER IMMEDIATLY**
Link: HE ISN'T HERE, HE RAN AWAY WHEN HE HEARD YOU COMING!!!
ID Robot: **YOU HAVE FAILED TO COMPLY**

the robot swiped at Link, he went flying down the street

Sonic: FUCK!!! i knew i should sneaked out last night! then this wouldn't have happened!!

Sonic ran from his cover, just dodged the robots arm as it went straight for him, he saw link in the middle of the road, clearly knocked out, Sonic ran towards him as the robot started to charge after him

Sonic: LINK! WAKE UP!!

no answer

Sonic: GOD DAMMIT!!! you will owe me later for this!

Sonic then picked Link in the same way fireman lift someone over their shoulders and took off at speed, the robot was fast, catching up fast, sonic turned right, sped down the road and met the a corner with two exits, the road turned right, but there was also an alleyway to the left
sonic was about to go into the alleyway when he stopped, that alleyway was small, with no exit whatsoever except from the other side, if one of those robots appeared there and the one chasing him blocked the entrance he came from, he would be trapped, but the road turning right was full of crossroads, that robot could easily catch up to him by taking a few right turns, whereas sonic would have no idea where to go, both paths were dangerous, but he had to go down one, he couldn't simply wait for that robot to come for him...

but which way...?

well now sonic is in a muddle this time, by staying there the robot easily could track him down, maybe it was foolish to stay where the emerl robot found him? but that is done with now, right now sonic needs to escape from the chasing robot, there are two options, left or right?

Option A: left for the alleyway *it is very narrow, with only a few trash cans inside*
Option B: Right to follow the road *all there is between here and the first crossroad is a lamppost that is flickering to get it's bulb changed, and a grate in the wall*

i have summoned powers equal and better to what that hedghog has, yet i have always failed
however, hope is not lost, this laboratory will aid me greatly, i shall take over the city and draw sonic towards the trouble, the plans are set, now to put them into motion...

red eyes suddenly glow from the dark...

Shadow appears a few yards behind Sonic, Sonic turns around

Shadow: You cant run forever Sonic!
Sonic: i sure as hell can try!

Shadow swipes at Sonic, Sonic leaps backwards out of the way
Sonic uses spindash to knock shadow to the ground
he gets back up, dashes towards Sonic and uses a powerful kick to knock him flying, Sonic jumps back to his position and throws a ball of magical energy at Shadow, the resulting explosion knocks Shadow flat on his back

Shadow: GAAAH! Dammit sonic!
Sonic: Now tell me! Why are you trying to kill me!?

Shadow bounces back up

Shadow: HA! you have no idea do you? all i can tell you is DO NOT GO INTO THE CITY! thats if you value your pitiful life!
Shadow: CYA!

He jumps into the air and disappears

Sonic: WAIT! dammit! what did he mean by not going into the city? well, i better go se the Dr now anyway

sonic turns and runs to the city

???: hmm... the blue one posses amazing internal magical power... maybe HE was the choice for me, instead of that black, hotheaded one; only time will tell...

Sonic walks down a street but something is wrong, the place is silent and half destroyed with broken windows, burnt out cars, vandalism on the walls and some joker put good guy, wank on the doors, on one door was super wank, that door opened a fraction, a pair of eyes was visible through the crack

???: Sonic? is that you?
Sonic: Dr? where is everybody? why is..
???: NOT HERE! quick! inside!
Sonic: how can i be sure you ARE the Dr?
Dr: WHAT!? if you dont get in here right i'll powerblast you in here! NOW MOVE!!
Sonic: yep, thats him, ok then, open the door for me
Dr: good, now inside quick!

Sonic jumps into the house, a robot very similar to Emerl runs in and stops where sonic jumped

Robot: *Unknown biorganism detected withis city limits! begining scan, name: unknown species: hedgehog id number: unknown analysis: intrudrer*
Robot: *WARNING, INTRUDER DETECTED WITHIN CITY LIMITS!! ALERTING OVERLORD!!*

the robot hovers above the ground and zooms off at speed

sonic is standing in a living room that looks like it's seen better days, the two chairs are scabby, the table looks utterly woebegone and the bookcase is almost bare with a few old books left
the Dr is peering through the curtain

Dr: *breathes a sigh of relief* good, it's gone
Dr: but you need to leave this city now, it's way too dangerous here
Sonic: wait a minute, the nore said...
Dr: forget the note! i sent that when it was safe, as you can see it certainly isn't safe now!
Sonic: well i cant leave with those thing roaming the streets!
Dr: i suppose not, you will have to wait for curfew to lift before you can leave
Sonic: and while we are waiting for that, i have some questions, what happened here? why are you dressed for combat? why is the city a shit-pit and what the hell is that smell??
Dr: what smell? *sniff* SHIT THE SALMON!!

he runs into the kitchen

Sonic: ?
Dr: FUCK NO! BLOODY BURNT TO A CRISP!!
*BOOM*
Dr: AAAARRRGGHH!!!

he was blasted backwards into the living room

Dr: i knew i should have gotten that warranty...

he sits down in one of the chairs

Dr: well, it's getting late now there is a spare room down the hall to the left, use it then u can leave when the curfew lifts, u can ask your questions then

Sonic: *thinking* hmm, i am a bit tired, but this definatly is weird, maybe i should go investigate....? i have so many questions though, maybe i should rest up and get as much information as i can first thing in the morning? i dont know...

UPDATE: since a few people are writing there own storylines on their page i though i might give it a go, only mine would be much more interactive, i would let the people of NG decide the characters fate! (yes, that means YOU! 8-O)
basically what would happen is that I would make a chapter, then at the end the character would have a choice to make, and that's where you come in, you vote on what path the character takes, majority rules then the next chapter would be based on the choice made at the previous chapter, simple!

But since people like these riddles I'll give a demo as to what the story could be like (I know I'm making myself out to be the main character but it'll be someone I made up [or yourself if you want] who will be the main character), so without further ado:

This should be my hardest riddle yet.
You and a dozen other survivers are stuck in the middle of the desert at high noon when the plane you were all in crashes, the others are ages 14-17 and about as bright as a black hole (they're extremely thick)
They turn to you for help.
They have salvaged these items from the wreckage:
1 map
30 bottles of water
1 gun (16 bullets)
1 bottle of whiskey
1 book of desert animals
10 coats
2 newspapers
5 umbrellas
10 packets of sweets
20 nappies
1 box of matches

re-arrange the items in order of importance (what you should use first)
you must state why you have arranged the items the way you have

RULES: 2 points are (no longer) up for grabs in this puzzle, 1 for correctly getting all the items in the right order and the other for correctly saying why.
this riddle is assuming that you willl not be rescued for a long time and that the rainy season is a few years away. The plane is a complete wreck with no chance of it being able to fly ever again and the same is true for the radio.

I'll give one clue: 3 3 3 (i'm not saying anymore than that)
